Optometry Webinars from Berkeley
The Admissions and Student Affairs team at Berkeley Optometry invites pre-optometry undergraduate students to an informational webinar about a career in optometry and admissions to the school. The Fall 2009 Semester is now underway.
Please check the Prehealth Calendar for the schedule of upcoming special events and meetings. If you missed the PreHealth Orientation September 8th, please follow the 'how to get an account link' and listen to the orientation podcast.
The podiatry common application is now open. Visit the Colleges of Podiatric Medicine homepage for information: AACPM.
The Fall 2009 Semester is now underway. Please check the Prehealth Calendar for the schedule of upcoming special events and meetings. Freshman PreHealth Orientation is scheduled for Tuesday, Spetember 8th.
The following applications are now open: AMCAS (MD),AADSAS, (Dental),AACOMAS (DO),OptomCAS (Optometry), and VMCAS (Vet).
APPLYING TO START SCHOOL IN 2010? By now, you should have:
1) attended an orientation;
2) Received a MedAppTrak account (MAT) and attended a MAT training;
3) Signed and returned an Applicant Contract;
4) Updated information in your MAT account;and
5) Requested 3 internal letters of recommendation (LOR) and at least one external LOR using appropriate internal/external request forms.
If you have not completed steps 1-5, please contact Judy Woolfson as soon as possible.
6) AFTER Steps 1-5 have been completed, make an appointment with Dr. Begley to request a committee letter.The AACOMAS application (DO schools) is open.

6) AFTER all LORs have been logged into MAT as received, make an appointment with Judy Woolfson to request a committee letter. [Letter will not be written until you e-mail the submitted common application to Dr. Begley (May/June).]
