Application Cycles

For allopathic or osteopathic medical schools, the application cycle begins in spring of your junior year for matriculation in medical school in August or September following your graduation. Most medical schools use a rolling admissions process. Therefore, the earlier students apply in the application cycle, the better the chances of admissions. Therefore, students are encouraged to obtain an account on MedAppTrak as early into their NU career as possible, well before Spring of your Junior year regardless of the type of professional school you expect to attend.

Dental schools also operate on a rolling admissions basis. Contact the specific dental school for their application guidelines. Use MedAppTrak to coordinate your application process.

Veterinary medical schools operate on a yearly admission cycle with matriculation in August or September. MedAppTrak provides a framework that lets you easily track and monitor steps in the cycle.
